Faculty Involvement

Our goal is to assess, align, adjust and advance innovative and high quality Retail, Hospitality and Tourism Education and Training Programs in Bay Region Community Colleges. Our commitment is to bring together all Faculty and Staff interested in taking part in our many exciting activities and build a cohesive group of sector specialists. Activities will include but are not limited to:

  • Curriculum development – Help to develop career-oriented, forward looking curriculums that provide students with a clear vision for their future.
  • Professional development – Attend professional development courses to learn more about career pathway development for students.
  • "Train the Trainer" series – Attend seminars that will teach you how to implement specific courses, certifications, or training programs for students.
  • Middle School and High School program development – Come together to map out curriculum that sequence seamlessly into the next level of education.

Career Cafe

Career Café is also an excellent tool for teachers and counselors to find useful classroom and counseling resources. The Café offers a variety of resources that can help students explore potential career pathways and spark a serious conversation about their future. Resources include insightful video clips from industry experts, exercises to help prepare for interviews, a career search checklist, and sample career profiles.
